This is a historic and significant document for retailers, wholesalers and publishers of newspapers and magazines. The Code of Practice for the press industry was agreed following a lengthy period of consultation across ten industry associations who came together as the joint industry committee (JIC).
The Code is designed to bring greater consistency to our industry, particularly in relation to the supply chain. It will also reinforce the highest possible standards of customer service by ensuring that all our customers have optimum access to our newspapers and magazines.
